Jelgava City Library is the largest public library in Zemgale. The building of the library is an architectural monument of local significance: the balcony of its facade is decorated by the cast iron ornaments of the 19th century, and it is an architecture testimony of its time with an unusual fate of which you can find out if you participate in excursion.

Valdeka palace was built in the 17th century outside Jelgava. In 1848, the owners of the palace became the Reke family and decided to reconstruct the building. Therefore, in 1860s Kristofs Karlis fon der Reke reconstructed the building in Neo-Gothic style. During the post-war years, as its rooms were rebuilt several times, the palace had served as the multi-apartment building, laboratory, office building and kindergarten.

Tetele or Tetelminde Tower

The tower stands at the bank of river Lielupe; next to the current Tetele Elementary School, in the former Tetelminde or Tetele Manor Park. After restoration, at the beginning of the 1990s, it acquired a tiled roof. In 1998, it was included in the National Heritage List as Tetele Manor Tower with an approximate date of 1840.

The watchtower was built to resemble castle ruins in the second half of the 19th century. It is the last evidence of architecture of the former Tetelminde Manor, which was destroyed during the freedom fights. Currently, the tower is a sightseeing site.
