The route lets you enjoy the bog scenery, development, characteristic plants, animals and nature objects of the Great Ķemeru Bog. If you are lucky enough, you will be able to hear distant calls of cranes, and if you carefully observe, you will notice the insectivorous plant – sundew. If you will visit the bog at sunrise or sunset, you will be able to enjoy the magical scenery of marsh enveloped in fog.

The hikes in Ķemeru Bog can be adapted from 2 hours up to a whole day depending on fitness and age of participants.

You must wear boots or high shoes, so that snow/bog shoes can be attached against the ankle. We recommend trekking boots with waterproof membrane or rubber boots. Bog shoes are snow shoes adapted for movement across the bog in all seasons of the year.

Hikes may be formed also for various groups, school-children, families or companies. Spending a night in tents is possible as well.
