Observation tower on the Palace Island

A wooden observation tower with a well-equipped picnic place in Jelgava, Palace Island, was formed in the summer of 2018. It is intended for observation of the wild horses, birds, two rivers and city panorama in the floodland meadows of the river Lielupe, which is a protected nature territory.

Viewing tower reaches the height of 19.2 metres or six floors; wooden stairs lead to the top observation platform. The first level of the tower is accessible also to the persons with reduced mobility.
